2002 Yering Farm Sauvignon Blanc
Tasting Note:
The 2002 vintage has produced a superb varietal Sauvignon Blanc, lifted
and refreshing nose with tropical fruit and a hint of mint/lemongrass.
Fresh palate with vibrant acidity and a lingering crisp, dry finish.
Viticulture:
The Sauvignon Blanc is grown on Scott Henry trellising to contro vigour,
maximise sun exposure. Shoot thinned to ensure low yeilds and non irrigated
to bring out the rich varietal flavours. Handpicked at the end of March.
Winemaking:
The fruit was gently crushed then pressed, free run juice was cold settled
before a controlled fermentation for two weeks. Filtered and bottled to
retain the freshness and tropical fruit flavours.
