2000 Yering Farm Chardonnay
Tasting Note:
Fresh with leesy characters on the nose, up front fruit flavour and buttery
overtones on the palate.
Viticulture:
Grown on Scott Henry trellising for maximum sun exposure, 2000 was a dry
vintage which produced good clean fruit. Handpicked in the first week
of April.
Winemaking:
The juice was cold stabilised before barrel fermentation in French oak,
followed by complete malolactic fermentation at a controlled temperature.
Left on lees for 10 months before bottling in January 2001.
